Welcome to the Kelvin Court website. This well-known Glasgow development is a fine example of the Art Deco style made famous in the 1920s. The architect was James Newton Fatkin and the project was completed in 1938 so it's enjoying its mature years while hoping to retain the style and elegance of its youth.
Originally the apartments could only be rented but in the 60s the first proprietors appeared and gradually it became completely owned by the community which still enjoys the amenities, space, gardens and convenience. All 101 apartments in Kelvin Court benefit from being in the priority List 1 Jordanhill School catchment area.
Its architectural importance is underlined by the collection of original plans and photographs held in the Mitchell Library. | | |
